The Israel Society for Biotechnology Engineering invites all those involved in the field of biotechnology, from the academy and from the industry, to submit abstracts for presentation at the 2017 Society’s conference.

Abstract Submission Information
Abstracts must be submitted in English via the on-line Submission Form link below.
– Invited lecture (to be selected if invited by the organizers)
– Oral presentation (15 minutes)
– Short talk (5 minute)
– Poster presentation
Notifications on the status of submitted abstracts will be sent to the presenting author by mid-September 2017.
Registration of the presenting author is mandatory. In order to ensure inclusion in the program and conference publications, the presenting author must register by October 17, 2017.
The scientific program and abstracts will be published online on this website. Please note that the link to view the abstracts will open in the morning of the Conference day. Submission of the abstract constitutes the authors’ consent to such publication.
This year, abstracts confirmed for poster presentations will be presented as a one slide
E-poster (electronic poster presentation). The presenter will then be required to submit a PDF presentation, following the instructions which will be provided.
E-posters are similar to traditional paper posters, prepared as a PDF, and displayed on-site on many plasma screens throughout the duration of the conference, and available for free browsing.
During the poster session, posters will be changing in a loop at a fixed period of time (20-30 minutes), at which time the poster presenter will be required to be present by the plasma stand showing his/her poster presentation. A schedule of the presentation times and plasma stands will be available.
Abstract Submission Guidelines
Before you start the on-line submission, please prepare the following information:
Contact details of the presenting author (use full first name and last name)
Authors’ names: The name of the presenting author will automatically appear as the first author. Insert only the names of the additional authors in the order that they should appear in the abstract. You can change the order of the presenting author, if needed. Use full first name and last name of all authors.
Authos’ Affiliation/s (Institution/s)
Insert institution details of each author and mark the institution box associated with that author. Fields include: Affiliation (Institution), Department, City (State, if applicable) and Country. Make a separate entry for each institution. Do not repeat identical institution details if they apply to more than one author.
Text should be in Upper and Lower Case. Do not abbreviate Department, Institute, University, etc.
In the department field, also include the words “Department of….” If relevant, as only the words you type in will show on the abstract.
Presentation type – select one of the above mentioned presentation types.
Topic – select from the list below, the topic which best describes your presentation.

Abstract Title – limited to 25 words. Use CAPITAL LETTERS.
Abstract body (including references and images) – should not exceed 275 words, less, if images are included.
Copy & paste your abstract into the abstract area or type it in directly.
Images, tables, etc., must be uploaded as JPG, GIF or PNG.
Submission Acknowledgement – After you click Submit”, a system “End Message” will indicate that the abstract was successfully submitted.
E-mail Acknowledgement & Abstract Number: Shortly after submitting your abstract, you will receive by e-mail an automatic submission acknowledgement with your abstract number and a link to access your abstract (should you need to revise it after submission), or make an additional submission.
